The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church provides shelter to people forced to flee, because of Russia’s war against Ukraine. The network of charitable organizations of the Church, Caritas, in Volyn, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts have already started resettlement of refugees in the framework of the UGCC.

In his video address on February 26, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC, called on the faithful to accept refugees seeking asylum and thanked those bishops and priests who open their homes, churches, basements, as well as doors of their monastic communities and seminaries to those who need it today.
